Glimpse of Nepal Tour (6 nights and 7 days) package from Mountain Journey Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. has a unique combination of nature, culture, and adventure. This Nepalpackage tour of 7 days mostly covers the outskirts of Kathmandu valley, Pokhara and adventure trip in Chitwan. The Kathmandu valley has a rich history of culture, arts and architecture. On this tour, we hike on the outskirts of Kathmandu valley - Khokana and Bungamati villages – a typical village with settlements of the people with Newari Origin. Next is the city of lakes – Pokhara. Pokhara is a very beautiful city with caves, lakes and surrounded by picturesque views of Annapurna ranges and Mt Mahhapuche (Fishtail). Chitwan is the home to the first national park, Chitwan National park – a UNESCO heritage site spreading over 930 sq km in the vast lowlands of South-Central Nepal famed for unbeaten adventure Jungle Safari. Home to the Bengal tigers,  one-horned rhino, clouded leopards, wild elephants, gaurs, golden jackals, jungle cats, small Indian civets and a myriad of other wildlife as well as birds and reptiles. An elephant ride is more than enough to enjoy the jungle safari into depths of the national park and have the adventure of a lifetime.  This 6 night’s 7 days tour of Nepal provides you ample opportunity to experience Nepal at its best in a short duration and ideal for any age.

 

 



Extra Information

  • Day 1
    Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel and sightseeing of Newari village. Our representative from Mountain Journey Treks and Expedition will welcome you to the traditional Nepali style with garlands and transfer you to the hotel at Thamel. After a brief rest, there will be our short walk around Thamel area then back to the Hotel and prepare for the next day. If time permits we walk around Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square also. There will be a welcome dinner in authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural dance show. After dinner we walk back to our hotel.
  • Day 2
    Scenic drive to Pokhara (city of lake paradise) and explore Phewa lake. After a warm breakfast at the hotel, we start the 7 hours/200km drive to Pokhara. We will make a few stops on the way as there are lots of places to capture photographs. We will follow the Trishuli river, one of the best rivers for amateur rafting until Mugling and then onwards go in the opposite direction of the Marshayngdi river for a while. Besides the small and simple villages, the Prithvi Highway also offers a nice view of mountains, most notably from Khairini and onwards. If the weather is clear you can see the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Manaslu and Annapurna as soon as you start going down from Kathmandu. In the evening stroll around the lakeside or depending on the time you reach Pokhara for a boating trip in the Phewa lake.
  • Day 3
    Pokhara city tour with sunrise view. Pokhara city tour with sunrise view. You will get an early morning wakeup call from the reception as we need to drive 12 km from the city of Pokhara to see the sunrise and the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. Your city guide will come to receive you after breakfast and drive towards the Davis fall, named after a Swiss coupled washed away by the waterfall in 1961. Then cross the road and go to the Gupteshwor cave with a self-created statue of Lord Shiva and the view of Davis fall coming down from the other side. 5 minutes' walk from the Gupteshwor cave is the Tibetan refugee camp where you can see Tibetan refugees doing different kinds of work for livelihood such as making carpets, making jewelry with semi-precious stones and selling things to tourists. After spending some time understanding Tibet and its political conditions in the area we head towards the Bindabasani temple and the Seti River gorge.
  • Day 4
    Drive to Chitwan and explore Tharu village. Drive to Chitwan (170km/6 hours). Tharu village walks in the afternoon. Tharu cultural programmes in the evening before dinner. The drive from Pokhara to Chitwan is a scenic drive of 6 hours. The change in the vegetation and lifestyle of the people is very significant. We will reach Chitwan for Lunch on this day. After a brief rest, we take a walk through the village of the Tharu people, one of the most famous indigenous groups in Nepal. They are famous for their resistance against Malaria, also for the huts they live in and the unique culture they have which they brought with them from Rajasthan in India from where they migrated. After a brief walk in the village to understand better we will come back to the hotel to see the Tharu dance program, which is a collection of many different dances that are performed by Tharu in different festivals.
  • Day 5
    Chitwan National park tour. After breakfast, we go-ahead for the canoeing and elephant breeding center visit. We go to the elephant bathing place, if you want to participate you can enjoy the shower on an elephant. After lunch Elephant safari and Nature walk. Yes, you are in the periphery of Chitwan national park, The best habitat for tropical animals and plants in Nepal. This is an exciting day ahead of you. After breakfast in the morning, we drive for a while from your jungle camp and go for canoeing in the Budi Rapti river. The canoeing lasts for a maximum of 40 minutes and during those 40 minutes, you see at least 20 species of birds and 2 species of crocodiles basking in the sun. There are chances to see the one-horned rhino and other wild animals. After the canoeing, we go to the elephant breeding center where female elephants are kept for breeding. You might also see a few small naughty ones coming to play with the visitors. We drive to the elephant bathing place in Sauraha. You can participate in the elephant bathing if you want. It cost you 2-3 dollars for a shower on top of an elephant. We head back to the hotel for lunch and rest for a while. At around 3 pm we will go for the elephant ride inside the Chitwan national park which lasts for 2 hours. There you can see many animals including one-horned rhino, 4 species of deer, monkeys and many more.
  • Day 6
    Return back to Kathmandu. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu (170km/6 hours). The free time around Thamel in the evening.
  • Day 7
    Final departure. Assist and transfer to the airport for connecting flight back to hometown. You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the international  for final departure.
